About
nar-anon family groups
Nar-Anon Family Groups are a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else’s addiction. As a Twelve-Step Program, we offer our help by sharing our experience, strength, and hope. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of addiction in a relative or friend. Nar-Anon members are relatives and friends who are concerned about the addiction or drug problem of another. Nar-Anon's program of recovery is adapted from Narcotics Anonymous and uses Nar-Anon's Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of Service.
Joining is easy; just attend a meeting. The only requirement for membership is that there is a problem of addiction in a relative of friend. Nar-Anon is not affiliated with any other organization or outside entity.
Nar-Anon has no dues and fees. Each group is self-supporting and collects donations that are used for local expenses such as room rentals and online meeting platforms. Group and member donations support the Nar-Anon World Service Office.
